The Adamawa All Progressives Congress, APC, are about to shop out their deputy Governor who they will pair with Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, the Governorship flag bearer.
Sources privy to a committee report which sat this night in Abuja said that the committee agreed to zone the deputy Governor seat to the Northern Senatorial District.
The source who spoke on the condition of anonymity told TG News that Senator Ahmed Barata is the Chairman of the committee, other members are Ibrahim Bilal (State Party Chairman), Dr. Raymond Chidama (Party secretary), and Barr Shagnah Pwamaddi who was unavoidable absent.
According to the source, eleven people have shown interest in the seat, but Hon Titsi Ganama, Mr. Tapa Sirumtu, and Mr. Vanje Bitrus are the leading contestants.
He said by tomorrow (Monday) a final decision will be taken by the committee on one of the three top contestants that will pair with Binani as her running mate for the 2023 governorship election.
